Summer2012

Members of the Worcestershire Poetry Stanza were involved in a project to write poems inspired by the National Trust property, Hanbury Hall, Nr. Droitwich, Worcestershire.  My poem, A room of their own, was inspired by the Ladies’ Blue Sitting Room.

Autumn 2011 – Spring 2012

Illustrator Cheryl Howard used a selection of poems from my collection Petrolhead, as an inspiration to create six stunning prints as her exhibition piece for the University of Worcester’s Illustration Students’ Personal Statement Exhibition.  The first meeting between Cheryl and myself was in Autumn 2011, with the final pieces exhibited in Spring 2012.  The poems from Petrolhead which inspired Cheryl’s work are:

High Tea
I watch my Mother climbing up walls
A Walk through the Forest
Red Coat
Beef
Strange Bedfellows

The exhibition runs from 3rd – 7th May.  Venue: Cathedral Plaza Worcester. (by the Next Store)
